Law Pharm Swap

The inaugural Law/Pharm Swap is this Saturday, April 6, from 5PM-10PM at the Levee. Admission is free for LSSB members and Pharmacy students under 21. All LSSB non-members and Pharmacy students over 21 will be $5 at the door. There will be a t-shirt for the event. Check it out here. The t-shirt is a comfort colors short sleeve shirt. The color is called aloe and the design on the front is a pocket. Sign-up and pay for a t-shirt by the bulletin board in the atrium between now and Thursday, April 4, at 5PM. The cost is $12 for LSSB members and $15 for non-members.

Ole Miss Law Apparel

Ole Miss Law Apparel is back! If you would like to order a shirt or a hat, then print out this order form or pick up an order form at the bulletin board in the Atrium. Place the filled out order form and a check made payable to the LSSB in the drop box outside of the LSSB office, room 3029 or the bulletin board in the atrium. LSSB Spring Election Runoff

There will be a run-off election on TWEN, Thursday, March 28, from 8AM-5PM for Vice President. To vote, sign-up or remain in the TWEN class “LSSB Spring Election.” Take the poll titled “LSSB Spring Election Runoff Poll” and click Finish Poll to submit your vote. The LSSB Spring Election for the 2013-2014 Executive Board and Honor Council Chair will be held on Tuesday, March 26, from 8AM-5PM on TWEN. To vote, sign up for the class, “LSSB Spring Election.” Take the poll titled “LSSB Spring Election Poll” and click Finish Poll to submit your votes. Election Interest Meeting

Interested in running for a position on the LSSB Executive Board, Senate, or Honor Council for the 2013-2014 school year? There are two opportunities this week to attend a mandatory Election Interest Meeting. The first meeting is on Wednesday, March 6, from 12:30PM – 12:50PM. The second meeting is on Thursday, March 7, from 12:00PM – 12:20PM. Both of these meetings are in room 3029, the LSSB office. It is necessary to attend one of these meetings if you plan on running in the upcoming election. If you have any questions about these meetings please contact Elections Commissioner Graham Smith.

Barrister’s Ball is just two weeks away! More details on the event is soon to follow. But first, check out the Barrister’s Ball t-shirt. The t-shirt is a comfort colors long sleeve shirt. Professor of the Year

Nominations for Professor of the Year Award are now being accepted in room 3029 or via email at: lssb@olemiss.edu. Please place paper nominations in the wooden box with the label for Professor of the Year Award. The submission deadline is Friday, February 8, at 5:00PM. Paper copies of the nomination form will be available in room 3029 and on the bulletin board in the atrium. 2012-2013 Yearbook

The 2012-2013 Law School Yearbook, The Advocate, is currently on sale. The cost per yearbook is $25. Please sign-up and drop off your check payable to the LSSB by the bulletin board in the atrium. Yearbook’s will be ready for distribution in early May.

If you would like to contribute photos to the yearbook please send them to the Yearbook Committee Chair Jackie Knapp.

Happy Thanksgiving

Thank you to all the organizations who participated in the Thanksgiving Basket Drive last week at the law school. All the donated items went to families in need in the University and Oxford/Lafayette Community. First place goes to Delta Theta Phi for bringing in the most items! Second place goes to the Mississippi Law Journal and Third place goes to PILF.

Thanks again to all the organizations that helped support the UM Adopt-a-Basket program! Enjoy a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
